Gujarat plans India's first submarine tourism in Dwarka before diwali 2024

The Gujarat government is making waves in the tourism sector by partnering with Mazgaon Dock Limited (MDL) to introduce India's inaugural submarine tourism venture. This groundbreaking project aims to explore the marine life surrounding Bet Dwarka, a small island near Dwarka city with mythological significance in Hinduism.

Drawing inspiration from the Titanic submersible expedition, the submarine tourism facility is anticipated to be operational before Diwali 2024, providing tourists with an opportunity to dive 100 meters below the sea and witness the marine life around the island. The location is believed to house a submerged city, attributed to Lord Krishna in mythological texts.
